BELGIAN MASC0T DIARY WITH TRADITIONAL RECIPES
1. Smurf from belgium
Smurf from Belgium
Hello! My name is Smurf and I lived in Brussels, the Belgian capital. After I was born in 1958, I went to the famous Comicmuseum and I stayed behind a display window and many people came and looked at me. After a few years it was too boring and I decided to escape in the middle of the night.
Because I had nothing to wear, I went to a clothes shop and I bought a nice shirt in the Belgian colours. In the same street I found a restaurant where I ordered my favourite dishes: fries, chocolate and mossels. I was happy to eat something very special.
Then I went to the main station in Brussels and took the train to Verviers. By bus I arrived at Büllingen.
At the bus station I saw a big pick up with chairs and desks. Some community workers and teachers from the „Mosaikschule“ invited me to help to move to the new school building.
I was excited as I saw the new school. I was told that this school participates in a new European project and the children and teachers asked me to become the new mascot. This was definitly better than staying eternally in the Comicmuseum.
They gave many information about the countries which are included in the project and I am looking forward to travel to all these countries and to meet the children.
The first journey is going to Itlay, there I will eat a pizza margaritha in the oldest pizzeria of the world (in Naples).
I am happy to gain wonderful experiences in Europe in the next three years. I will return to Büllingen with my diary and a recipe book ….promised !!!
