 with crispy cracklings

500 g of potatoes 1 small onion 400 g of flour 100 g of minced lard 1 spoonful of lard 1 decilitre of sour cream

Boil salted water for cooking the potatoes. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into cubes and put them into the salted boiling water.  Boil for about 10 minutes, until the potatoes are half done. Pour in the sifted flour and quickly bring to the boil. As the water covers the flour, lower the temperature and make a hole in the flour with the handle of a wooden spoon. Let it simmer for 30 minutes.
Put minced lard into a pan and let it dissolve over heat.
Peel the onion and slice it thin.
Dissolve the lard in the pan and stir-fry the sliced onion.
Decant some žgančevka into a cup and add hot minced lard into the pot. Stir thoroughly. If the mix appears too dry, add some decanted water. Scoop the mix from the pot with a wooden spoon and crumble it into a bowl with a fork.
Add some sour cream to the stir-fried onion, bring it to the boil and pour it over the žganci in a bowl.
