Im "eXplorarium" erproben zur Zeit vierzehn Berliner Grundschulen und zwei Gymnasien selbsterstellte qualitätskontrollierte Kurse, um E-Learning mit aktivem und entdeckenden Lernen zu verbinden (Blended Learning).

Das Projekt "eXplorarium" wird vom Europäischen Sozialfonds und von der Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung, Berlin, im Rahmen der Pilotierung des eEducation-Masterplans gefördert.

"eXplorarium" beruht auf dem Course Management System (CMS) "Moodle".
Weltweit gibt es kein Lernmanagementsystem mit größerer Verbreitung. Fast 50.000 Installationen vom kleinen System für einen einzelnen Trainer bis hin zu Hochschulen mit 40.000 Kursen oder über 100.000 Studenten nutzen Moodle.

In the "eXplorarium" project currently many classes from fourteen local primary schools and two high schools are learning in courses which connect inquiry-based learning and e-learning. The course development is continuously evaluated and reflects high quality standards.
