On the Earth day we went to the nature reserve "Holzwarchetal" between the villages Rocherath and Mürringen. The slovenian mascot  had nice journey too !!!

The Holzwarche is a river winding to the village Wirtzfeld and flowing into the lake of Bütgenbach.

In this valley there are countless daffoldils. In April many nature lovers come to this beautyful valley and admire this wonderful sea of blossoms.

Here you find some Information to the yellow wild daffodil:

The wild growing yellow daffodil is the orignal wild flower of the wellknown common daffodil (Called "Osterglocke"), which decorates gardens and parks every year in springtime and eastertime.

Primarly the yellow narcisses is a flower of springtime. It is growing in stream valleys or valley meadows, it needs a lot of light and humidity. Therefor many spruces were eleminated which had been planted in these daffodil valleys many years ago.

The wild daffodil is growing in areas with a lot of rainfall in Western Europe as in the Holzwarchetal in our region the Eifel.

Dafodils proliferate by forming daughter bulbs, ants can carry the black seeds of the daffodils a few meters and support the dissemination by this way.

We listened to the nature.

This flower is under nature protection.

This afternoon last week  the weather was great and it was very dry. We also collected waste which we found on our path.

We admired at the end of the walk the biggest and oldest tree our region. Many people go for a walk to this wonderful place. You can write in books some prayers and sentences of meditation.
We made breathing exercises in the fresh forest air. It was fantastic.

We made a break in a wooden house with fruits and vegetables.

We learned in our course a lot about this valley and its flowers.

We drawed something about our little adventure.

What a great day .
We hope Zmajevid did not pick any protected flowers? As we know he loves to smell the flowers. And as a dragon.....and his big nose....

Hugs from Slovenia.
